Overview:
When someone expresses fear or describes physical violence in the home, counselors must respond swiftly, biblically, and with discernment. This cheat sheet is designed to equip lay counselors to wisely assess, protect, and shepherd individuals who are either experiencing domestic violence or feel unsafe in their home. While reconciliation is always a long-term hope, safety and soul-care are the immediate priorities.
