Spiritual Dryness / Lack of Desire for God

Overview:

Spiritual dryness may result from sin, weariness, distraction, or prolonged suffering. It reflects a heart that feels disconnected from God and His Word. Though it’s a common experience in the Christian life (Psalm 42:1–3), Scripture offers hope and renewal. God draws near to those who seek Him with a humble and contrite heart (Isaiah 57:15). The goal is not merely to “feel” God again—but to reengage with Him through truth, discipline, and dependency.
