ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
Overview:
Struggling with assurance of salvation often stems from trusting personal feelings, thoughts, or performance rather than the finished work of Christ. God calls us to believe His testimony about His Son, not our own flawed ability to believe perfectly. Salvation is entirely a work of God, not a joint effort between God and man. This cheat sheet provides a biblical perspective on helping those who doubt their salvation because they wrongly elevate their flesh and thoughts above the simplicity of faith in Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.
